AJIT SOMESHWAR, Founder / Director – CSI Software Private Limited

Mr. Someshwar is the C.E.O. of CSI Consulting and Principal Consultant of iter8. He has acted as a consultant to insurance companies and technology solutions companies in the areas of claims, customer service and business architecture.  He also manages a significant client portfolio and is the primary contact for these clients (ISC/GE Power & CIBC). During his stewardship the company has achieved an average growth rate of 128% in 1998 and 1999. This growth rate has continued into the year 2000 despite the general slow down caused by the Year 2000 freeze.

Mr. Someshwar was VP OPERATIONS PLANNING & ANALYSIS (1992-1998), on the Core Leadership Team of CIBC Insurance. Mr. Someshwar was instrumental in successfully introducing direct P&C Insurance in Canada. Ajit was responsible for the entire planning process – strategic, operational and financial; the project management office that coordinated all major property and casualty business initiatives and application development; production planning & business process engineering functions.

 At KPMG Peat Marwick Thorne - Insurance Practice, as Senior Manager (1987-1992), Mr. Someshwar was consultant to the Ontario Insurance Review Board on costing and analysis of various public auto insurance models. 

As President of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (1992-93) and having served on the advisory board (1995 –1997) the chamber grew from an association with less than 100 members to over 600 members and drew recognition from Federal and Provincial governments. He also instituted several successful business & trade development initiatives, awards and sponsorship programs and made giant strides in the two-way trade between Canada (Ontario in particular) and India. In recognition of his service he was awarded Ontario government’s Volunteer service award in 1994.

Mr. Someshwar holds himself personally responsible for CSI’s service level and quality on all Ontario government engagements. He assumes ownership of the process and the outcome. "CSI supports effective service resolution and creates a consistent experience for customers". Mr. Someshwar has a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
